Counseling

Counseling can be provided in person or via Telehealth. Areas of focus include:

Maladaptive behaviors and thinking patterns that impede learning
Mindfulness training to increase personal awareness, attention, and focus.
Coping Skills Development increase positive response patterns and problem solving.
Self-Regulation training- to help the individual be able to better manage anxiety, depression, or any other elevated emotions.
Social Skills training to improve interpersonal skills to navigate social situations. This is especially effective for children on the ASD and ADHD spectrums.
Skill building in organization and planning
Study Skills to learn how to be a successful student.

Parent Education

Direct support and training for parents seeking to improve the success of their child at home, in school, and other settings.

Advocacy Services

I strive to assist families in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) for their children with disabilities. These services include:

Educational planning
Mediation, and
Community outreach.

The goal of these services is to empower families with the knowledge and skills they need to advocate for their child's learning needs and build partnerships with the school to improve educational services.
